Four pool tables!
This is where the bull will be!
Last night was the event I have been looking forward to for weeks. Tyler Farr, Sunny Ledfurd and Colt Ford, live at the brand new Alligator Alley Country Castle in Kissimmee, Fl. The fact that I am writing this at 5PM the day after should be proof enough of how much fun I truly had. The show started at 9:30PM and the tickets were $25 at the door. The field which was used for parking filled up pretty quickly! There were plenty of police officers and security staff patrolling that area and parking was free. I knew it was going to be a great night from the beginning when I practically ran straight into Sunny Ledfurd on the side of the building! For those of you who do not know who Sunny Ledfurd is, check out his song "I don't remember last night." He is a Southern Rock, Country, Hip-hopish singer from North Carolina and he is a really laid back guy.

Alligator Alley was actually bigger inside than I originally anticipated and it had two levels. What I found the most interesting about this bar was their... well, bars! The entire building was lined with a huge wrap around bar, upstairs and down. On the bottom level, half was a huge dance floor while the other half was equipped with four pool tables, four electronic dart boards, a few arcade games (Buck hunting) and the area where the mechanical bull will eventually be located. Upstairs was pretty empty at this point but it was mostly an over look of the stage and dance floor. It is a really original idea and it came together nicely. Another pretty unique thing they had was a fan the size of 3 semi-trucks keeping everyone cool.
As for the alcohol, Alligator Alley had some pretty inexpensive but well made drinks. I spent the night suckin' down a drink called Southern Bell. It's just Southern Comfort, Root beer and ice and one of my personal favorites. I did hear some folks talking about how they have Jack Daniels drinks for $3 every day. The only thing Alligator Alley is really missing is some sort of back porch so the non-smokers can enjoy some fresh air occasionally.

The concert itself was really amazing! Every one of the performers put on a great show including up-and-comer Tyler Farr, who I heard for the first time last night. Take a second to listen to his song "Camouflage"  because I really think that he is going to be the next big name in country music! Colt Ford got the crowd rowdy, like he always does, and had me dancin' like a fool! Overall, it was a spectacular experience and I wish that I could press the rewind button and do it all over again!
